1. The racing program gives you a reason to regularly go to the Yacht Club and go
sailing.
I personally would sail very seldom if not for the racing program.

3. It's a fun thing to do.

4. Racing with an organized group helps improve your general sailing skills.
Races generally include all points of sail and all weather conditions.

5. If you get into trouble, others are there to render assistance.

6. You do not have to be skilled or experienced to race.
Racing is the best way to improve your skills.
